STEAM
It is undeniable that Science and Technology are very present in our daily lives, but from Colegio El Ardal, we wanted to bring them closer to the students in a friendly and safe way, providing them with important tools that they will need for their future. The students in the 5th and 6th classes are immersed in the STEAM Project (Science, Technology, Engineering, ART and Maths), taught by our colleague Janet on the subject of English as a Foreign Language, which is carried out in English.
During this academic year, 2022 – 2023, the different sessions of the project have focused on the figure of the polymath Leonardo Da Vinci, getting to know and understand his world and replicating some of his creations. Currently, students from both groups are immersed in the development of a project using batteries and motors, resulting in interesting creations such as electric cars, flying contraptions, houses with light, and so on. A project in which the students learn from the beginning to the end is essential to enjoy the process until the result is achieved.
The STEAM classes are magical, it seems as if time stands still in the school, as when you enter it seems to be in another dimension. The students enjoy every minute of these sessions, with enthusiasm and letting their imagination run wild, without limits, and the teachers provide them with all the necessary elements to achieve their objectives. Here everything is possible, and if it is not, a possible solution will be sought to arrive at an idea as similar as possible to the initial one. We firmly believe in an Integral Education for students, which provides them with everything they need to face the future with love, success, tolerance, respect, and connecting with and caring for our environment.
